Food

Food problems are almost always found in children with autism. Many children also have difficulties in managing motor functions as such, like chewing or handling cutlery. It is also not uncommon for children with autism to eat or drink dangerous things without reacting if it burns or has a bad taste.

Sometimes it can be difficult to understand why the food situation does not work out, but it may be about a slight change in a routine or changing the color of a mug. It works out better around the dining table if there is a personal support.
